Job Description:


* Define and develop project plans for Sales & Distribution

* Define methodologies for the department
* Identify problems that affect the Sales & Distribution Programme Office and manage projects to achieve the development and implementation of solutions accordingly (includes planning in terms of funding, staffing and resource acquisition)
* Ensure project plans are aligned with the overall organizational objectives
* Prioritize and coordinate all projects
* Facilitate the development of project plans and ensure these are aligned to overall project plans(includes implementation, risk mitigation and contingency plans)
* Ensure all projects are well defined in terms of detailed project deliverables and time frames
* Review success of project planning post implementation

* Manage and monitor the implementation of all projects against the overall project plan

* Determine staff requirements for each project and allocate available resources to various projects
* Manage, coordinate and monitor the implementation of all projects against the project plans
* Identify reasons for delays in projects and plan activities to overcome these
* Identify and respond to risks/escalated problems through out the project cycle
* Ensure the performance of project managers is up to the required standard during the implementation of the project plan
* Determine staff requirements for each project and allocate available resources to various projects

* Provide Channel Support

* Ensure projects are aligned with channel deliverables
* Ensure all channel project initiatives are integrated with overall Sales & Distribution objectives

Job Conditions: May be required to work extended hours
Reporting To: Senior Manager Sales Channel
Required Skills:


* Six(6) years applicable business experience including formal project management experience in a Telecommunications Business environment
* Two(2) years management experience
* Experience in scheduling work tasks and administering project budget
* An understanding of project management methods and practices including methods of preparing designs, plans, specifications, estimates, reports and recommendations
* Telecommunications experience (especially GSM-Cellular ) is an advantage

Relevant first degree preferably in the Sciences Professional Project Management certification is an advantage
