Job Description:


* Provide technical expertise in design and construction of all MTNN buildings and installations – technical and non technical including floor plan enhancements (office partitioning), alterations and renovations
* Prepare briefs and specifications from client (user departments) requirements for consultants and contractors use
* Liaise with consultants and contractors to intimate them of design briefs and unique specifications and coordinate development of project design, necessary documentation and regulatory approvals
* Provide expert recommendation and guidance in tender process and procedures, represent MTNN in tenders meetings
* Review facilities plans and construction contract bid documents and specifications for technical and/or non-technical projects applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, building codes and byelaws. Make necessary amendments in liaison with the user departments and in compliance to MTNN building policies and specifications
* Conducts pre-construction conference and overview orientation of final project designs drawings and specifications with project architects, consultants and appropriate MTNN personnel
* Flag off and continuously monitor construction progress through regular on-site inspection and review. Monitor project progress in terms of quality, time and cost to ensure value for money and building according to specification
* Ensure strict adherence to all MTNN building and safety policies
* Initiate and control site related processes and procedures including attending site meetings
* Review and recommend necessary approval of construction pay estimates, change order proposals and other construction contract documents
* Prepare and present periodic project progress reports as required
* Control close out and handover each project to client departments
* May provide consulting services to user departments and/or divisions within area(s) of architectural specialty

Job Conditions: Must have valid drivers license Open plan office

Required Skills:


* Between 5-10 years experience
* Cognate experience should include professional practice in a reputable architecture firm, hands-on project management experience including on-site monitoring and review

B.Arch/M.Sc. Architecture Registered member of the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON)
